Kitten Info

Our kittens can move to their new homes earliest between their 13th-14th week of age. By then they’ll be 2 times vaccinated and multiple times dewormed, fully socialized, used to the normal pace of a household and taught how to use the litter box properly. They will get a vaccination passport, a pedigree and a small starter kit for the first days in their new home (favorite toys and food).
All kittens will be sold with a contract which contains rights and duties of both sides, the breeder and the new owner.

What to consider before getting a new kitten

Here are some of the basic questions you should ask yourself before getting a new family member:

Am I ready to take care of my new kitten its whole life? Will I have enough time for him/her? Am I capable of giving my new pet the necessary health care and quality food? Is there a possibility of allergies in my family?

Before deciding to buy a new kitten, please think about if you’re able to offer it quality living conditions and long-term care. You have to be ready to take care of it for the next 15-20 years. Getting a new kitten (or any pet for that matter) is a huge responsibility. Ragdolls are incredibly sociable cats, they will follow your every step. We prefer to give kittens into families where its new adoptive parents have enough time for them. The best choice for us is to give them away in pairs or to families who have pets already (preferably at least one other cat). You should be able to provide enough quality food for your kitten and count with all necessary vet costs. Although our kittens come from tested parents and go to their new homes properly vaccinated, cats, same as humans, may get sick eventually, especially as they get older and you should be ready to cover the costs of necessary health care. Also, please make sure that there are no allergies in the family before bringing a kitten home. For small cats their first moving into a new home is a pretty stressful event, so we hope they won’t have to move a lot because of reasons that can be avoided. It’s the biggest dream and the biggest concern of every breeder to find kind and loving owners for their kittens. Therefore, if you’re interested and serious about getting one of our kittens, don’t hesitate to contact and visit us. We’d love to stay in touch with the new owners of our kittens to know how they’re growing up, and provide any help we can!

Before you bring your kitten home

Safety

Only indoor - Ragdolls are strictly indoor cats. They are not allowed to run outside without your supervision. They are beautiful cats who could be easily captured for their looks. They are also very friendly to other people and animals which could become fatal for them while running outside on the streets. Balcony - Make sure that your home is safe for your kitten. A net-protection on the balcony should be one of the 1st safety arrangements. Don’t assume that cats are clever enough and can’t fall. They can! There are various sounds and other incentives outside that may lead to their lack of attention and they can slip in a second. Unfortunately cats don’t have 7 lives and it is the owner’s responsibility to provide their safety. Plants - Avoid having poisonous plants in your apartment. Cats often don’t recognize all plants that could be toxic for them. Our Cathrin, for example, eats basically everything what’s green.

Things to get

There are a few basic things that you should have before you bring your kitten home:
Carry case
Scratcher
Litter box & litter
Bowls
Food
Our cats get only the best quality food. As babies they get Applaws for kittens. Other great dry food brands are Orijen or Acana (they are all grain free and have a lot of meat). Other brands that come into consideration are Nutram, Feringa or GranataPet. I strongly recommend to look for dry food that has the largest percentage of meat and no grain or as little grain as possible. As for canned food, the same rule applies - there should be no sugar and no grain/little grain and it should have a lot of real meat in it. Great quality food is for example Almo Nature, Porta 21, Animonda Carny Ocean or Brit Care. Our kittens are used to Almo Nature. You can also consider feeding your kittens Barf food with the necessary supplements. Please avoid famous supermarket brands as they usually have very little meat (around ONLY 4%) and lots of sugar and grain, and therefore are very unhealthy for cats.
Toys
Our kittens will get some of their favorite small toys with them. What they absolutely love is this toy which I truly recommend. Also tunnels are great kitten toys.
